Graphic Design
Most small businesses end up with a logo from one person, a website from another, and social graphics made by whoever had Canva open. The result looks like three companies.
What I Make
Primary logo, variations for tight spaces, and a version that still reads at favicon size, which is where most logos fall apart.
A defined palette and type pairing with actual rules, so the next person who makes you a flyer doesn't guess.
Custom sets that match your brand instead of stock icons that don't match each other.
Templates sized for each platform that you can reuse without redesigning every time.
Business cards, signage, vehicle graphics, brochures, prepared properly for print, which is a different job than preparing for screen.
Why It Goes Together
When the same person does both, your site and your printed material use the same palette, the same type, and the same logo files. Colors match across screen and print. Nothing needs recreating because someone only has a low-resolution JPEG.
When they're done separately, you get a brand that's slightly wrong everywhere and nobody can point at why. The logo on the van is a slightly different blue than the logo on the site. The business card uses a font nobody has the file for. Every new piece of collateral is a small argument about which version is correct.
Common Failures
Usually because it came back from someone as an email attachment years ago. It can't be resized, can't go on a dark background, and can't be printed properly. This is the single most common problem I inherit.
There's a blue everyone agrees on, but no hex code, no print equivalent, and three slightly different versions in circulation.
A logo designed at full width turns to mush as a favicon or a social avatar, which is where most people actually see it.
They share a name and nothing else.
Fixing these is often a cleanup rather than a rebrand, and it's cheaper than people expect.
Ownership
Source files, exports in every format you'll need (web, print, dark background, small size) and clear guidance on what to use where. If you hire someone else later, they can pick up your files and work.
That last part matters more than it sounds. The reason so many businesses are stuck with a JPEG logo is that nobody ever handed them the real files.
