What I Do
And I fix the ones that don't. Most small business websites fail for one of four reasons: they look dated, nobody can find them, the owner can't update them, or they were never built to convert. Each has a different fix, which is why the work below is split the way it is.
I'm Jarod Dykstra. I started Resolution Web Development in 2016 and have built more than 200 websites since. I'm based in Byron Center, just outside Grand Rapids, and work with clients across the country.
The Work
01
New sites for businesses that either have nothing or have something they're embarrassed by. Custom design, built to convert, and structured so you can update it yourself afterward.
Best if: you're launching, rebranding, or your current site was built from a template you've outgrown.
Website design02
Rebuilding an existing site that's holding you back, usually slow, dated, or impossible for your team to maintain. Most of my redesign work is migration off WordPress.
Best if: you have a site, it works, and you hate it.
Website redesign03
Getting found by people in your area who are ready to hire. Google Business Profile, local search visibility, and the technical work underneath it.
Best if: you're invisible for searches your customers actually make.
Local SEO04
Functionality beyond what a standard site does: member portals, databases, integrations with software you already run, automation of tasks your staff does by hand.
Best if: you've been told what you want isn't possible.
Custom web development05
Logos, color, typography, icons, social graphics, and print collateral. Built to match your site rather than fight it.
Best if: your brand looks different everywhere it appears.
Graphic designWhy People Hire Me
In 2016 I chose to master Wix completely instead of spreading across WordPress, Shopify, and custom frameworks. Eight years and 200+ sites later, I'm a Wix Legendary Partner, the top tier worldwide. That depth means I build faster and do things generalists call impossible.
The most common complaint I hear from clients coming off WordPress is that every small change required a developer. That's a choice someone made for you, and it's fixable.
You talk to the person building your site. No handoffs, no translation layer between you and the work.
